Nature's Revenge

About a year ago, I visited the Tjesno Canyon in Herzegovina with Hanna and Nicolas from Hamburg Germany. As usual, it was a wonderful and unforgettable escape from Sarajevo to Herzegovina, spending the whole day swimming and taking a light hike in the canyon.

Nothing unusual about that, except for the unfortunate fact that, a month later, it turned out to be the last visit to Tjesno Canyon ever.

Unfortunately, nature got angry and sent rain like no other in recent centuries. In just two hours, it rained as much as typically falls in an entire year, and the mountain collapsed directly into the most beautiful canyon in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nothing of that beauty remains; everything is covered with dozens of meters of gravel and irrevocably ruined. I am sad and feel as if I have lost my best friend. These wonderful photos from before the catastrophe will remain as memories.
