Shaky Treskavica Mountain

Service Description

Mount Treskavica – one of the most beautiful mountains in Bosnia. It’s wild and untamed, yet always welcomes its visitors with open arms. They say there are 365 springs – one for every day of the year. I can’t say for sure, but what I do know is that there’s no shortage of fresh mountain water, and you’ll never go thirsty. Treskavica got its name from the frequent earthquakes that have affected it in the past. Is also famous for its stunning alpine lakes, and on this tour, we’ll visit three of the most beautiful ones. We’ll also hike up to a panoramic peak with amazing views of Sarajevo in the distance, as well as the surrounding Olympic mountains. This is a moderate hike, suitable for hikers with a basic level of fitness and some mountain experience. It’s the perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. While parts of the mountain may still contain unexploded landmines from the past, all our routes follow safe and well-established trails. For safety reasons, it's recommended to explore the area with an experienced local guide, especially if it's your first visit. Itinerary: 1. Pick-up 2. 60-minute drive through the mountains 3. 3-hour hike to the peak of Oblik (Approx. 1000 meters of elevation gain) 4. Arrival at Crno jezero (Lake) 5.
